主讲人简介:
Terry Wood是美国普渡大学数学教育方向的著名教授。她的主要研究方向是数学教与学的相互作用。她出版的主要著作包括Transforming Children's Mathematics Education:
International Perspectives,Mathematics Teacher Education: Critical International Perspectives, 和Beyond Classical Pedagogy, Teaching Elementary School Mathematics。她曾在Journal for Research in Mathematics Education上发表多篇论文。她曾参与包括Learner's Perspective Study等在内的多项国际合作研究课题。

报告内容简介:
The reform agenda in mathematics education, amplified initially in the 1989 Curriculum and Evaluation Standards for School Mathematics (NCTM, 1989) and more recently in the NCTM (2000) standards document, calls for significant and substantial changes in our ways of educating students in mathematics. At the heart of the reform is a ransformation in the ways students learn and teachers teach mathematics. These changes aim for ways of learning and teaching that result in students knowing a “different” kind of school mathematics.
