简历： 陈猛，研究方向为代数几何，1997年在华东师大数学系获博士学位，1998年4月至2000年8月先后在意大利国际理论物理中心和德国哥廷根大学数学研究所做博士后研究，2000年9月至2003年5月为同济大学教授，2003年6月至今为复旦大学教授，2005年入选教育部新世纪优秀人才支持计划，2006年获得国家杰出青年科学基金。

摘要：This is an elementary introduction on the explicit 3-dimensional birational geometry. By effectivly bounding the canonical volume from below and by classifying singularity baskets on minimal models, we will answer an open problem of J. Kollar and S. Mori (Problem 7.74, Birational geometry of algebraic varieties, Cambridge Univ. Press, 1998). We give effective universal bounds for the canonical stability index and the volume for 3-folds of generaal type. Finally we prove Fletcher's conjecture on the list of 23 families of weighted hypersurface 3-folds with terminal quotient singularities.
