题目: Coordinate rings of Nilpotent KC-Orbits

摘要: Vogan's philosophy of unipotent representations entails that if a unitary representation $pi $ of $G$ is to be ``associated" to a nilpotent orbit $orbit$,the coordinate ring $C[baro]$ of its closure should encode the $K$-module structure of $pi$, where $K$ is a maximal compact subgroup of $G$. Thus it is of considerable interest to understand these coordinate rings. In this talk, I will define a notion of lifting of nilpotent $KC$-orbits (and more generally lifting of coherent sheaves in the context of a double fibration of quotient maps) and describe how coordinate rings behave under the lifting map. As an application, one may determine associated cycles of certain class of unitary representations, a very complicated task in general.
