This talk is intended for general audience. We first give a brief history of heat kernel estimate.　We then recall the basic notation such as Dirichlet form, heat semigroup, and fractal.　Finally, we present the recent development on heat kernel estimate. I will finish my talk by giving a fifteen-year conjecture.

*主讲人简介：
胡家信教授是清华大学数学科学系长聘教授。其于2001年在英国圣安德鲁斯大学获得博士学位。于2003.03-2004.07，在德国耶拿（Jena）大学做洪堡研究学者。并在加拿大大不列颠哥伦比亚大学（UBC）日本京都大学泰国兰实大学(Rangsit University)，美国康乃尔大学，德国比勒菲尔德大学(Bielefeld)，合作研究，香港中文大学做访问学者。其研究领域为：偏微分方程，分形几何，狄氏型理论、热核估计。他在Invention, Tans. AMS, Comm. Pure appl. Math., J. func. anal., CMP, ADV等期刊上发表多篇论文。
