摘要： We will introduce the basic concepts and results in the problem of geometrization of branched coverings which was first investigated by Thurston. This topic is timidly connected with Teichmuller space, hyperbolic 3-manifold, algebraic topology, quasiconformal mappings and quadratic differential theory in Riemann surface.
