摘要(Abstrct)： The classical Gelfand-Kirillov conjecture concerns the structure of enveloping skewfields of finite-dimensional Lie algebras over fields of characteristic 0. It can be viewed as a double question of rationality, both in the ordinary commutative sense (for the centre) and in a suitable non-commutative sense (above the centre). In this talk, we will give an overview of the problem, from its origin in 1966 till the most recent developments in the past few years. If time permits, we will mention analogues of the conjecture in different settings (quantum algebra or Poisson geometry).
