Abstract: A review of recent results on the stability of the normal state in the presence of electric currents would first be presented. Then, the effect of applied and induced magnetic fields on solutions in unbounded domains will be presented. The latter results are part of a work in progress which is done in collaboration with Bernard Helffer from Orsay.
