演讲人简介：
冯贵良教授，国际著名信息安全专家。现任美国西南路易斯安那大学计算机系副教授，IEEE资深会员，IEEE Transaction on Computers编委。1990年获得美国Lehigh大学计算机科学博士学位。在代数几何码的译码算法、构造渐近好的代数几何码以及简化代数几何码等编码热点问题上获得一系列国际领先的成果。曾获：
Outstanding Paper Award of the Chinese Institute of Electronics for 1984-1987.
1994 IEEE Information Theory Society Paper Award.
ULL Foundation Distinguished Professor Award in 2003.
冯贵良教授的主要研究领域为：Error-correcting codes，Cryptography，Internet Security，Fault-tolerant computing，Bioinformatics，Data compression.

Reed-Solomon-like code and its generalizations are very useful in network coding and information security.
