摘 要
In this talk, we will study the steady Poiseuille flow of nematic liquid-crystals. A good understanding of this flow can be obtained due to a rather surprising observation that takes advantage of a special structure of this specific problem. As an application of the dynamics of the Poiseuille flow, we provide an approximation for the apparent viscosity -- an important characteristic quantity for fluids.
