报告人简介：
王鹏，福建师范大学数学与统计学院教授，闽江学者特聘教授，博士生导师；研究方向为微分几何，在WIillmore 2维球面的分类、Willmore曲面的可积系统刻画及Willmore猜想相关问题上作出了一系列工作，相关论文发表于在J. Diff. Geom、J. Reine Angew Math、Adv Math、Math. Ann、Math. Z、Sci. China Math、Nagoya Math. J、Pacific J. Math、Bull. LMS、Tohoku Math. J及Proc. AMS等期刊；主持国家自然科学基金面上项目3项，青年基金1项，福建省雏鹰计划青年拔尖人才项目1项。

报告摘要：
In this talk we will report our recent works on the Willmore problem for surfaces and submanifolds in spheres. For the case of surfaces, we will introduce the classification of Willmore two-spheres, characterization of Clifford torus and Lawson's embedded minimal surface \xi_{,}. For submanifolds, we will show the construction of \lambda_1 minimal flat 3-tori and 4-tori in spheres. We will also consider the index of minimal submanifolds in spheres as well as Willmore stability of some minimal submanifolds.
