A Robin-type domain decomposition method with mixed DG discretization for the coupled Stokes-Darcy problem

In this talk, I will first present the mixed DG method for the coupled Stokes-Darcy problems. The method invokes the stress-velocity formulation of the Stokes equations, where the symmetry of the stress is strongly imposed. The staggered DG method is used to discretize Darcy equations. As such, the discrete formulation can be easily adapted to account for the Beavers--Joseph--Saffman interface conditions without introducing additional variables. Then, I will present the development of the Robin-type domain decomposition method for the coupled Stokes-Darcy problem, where the Stokes subproblem and Darcy subproblem are solved sequentially. Several numerical experiments will be presented to illustrate the performance of the proposed scheme.

*主讲人简介:

赵利娜,香港城市大学数学系助理教授。主要从事偏微分方程数值方法的研究,研究内容包括间断有限元,交错间断有限元,自适应算法,多物理场问题和多尺度算法等。2018 年在韩国延世大学(Yonsei University)获得博士学位。随后在香港中文大学从事博士后研究。近年来在SIAM J. Numer. Anal., SIAM J. Sci.Comput., IMA J. Numer. Anal. 等国际权威期刊发表多遍论文。
