*讲座内容简介：
Algebraic monoids are closely related to algebraic groups by relating an algebraic monoid M to its unit group G with derived subgroup G_0. In the study of the classification of reductive algebraic monoids, Vinberg introduced the enveloping monoid Env(G_0), which is a final object of the category of very flat monoids with certain unit groups. Env(G_0) is also called the Vinberg monoid of G_0. In this talk, we will talk about this classification and the construction of Env(G_0) and some applications of this theory.
