On the rational K-theory of ample groupoids

Abstract:

I will report on a joint work in progress with M. Yamashita (Oslo). I will explain a strategy to compute the rational K-theory of an ample groupoid C*-algebra in terms of the homology groups (with rational coefficients) of the groupoid. The goal is proving a rational version of the HK conjecture (which is known to fail integrally). We will use machinery from homotopy theory and KK-theory.
