Abstract:
The goal of the talk is to offer a KK-theoretic perspective on a work of M. Braverman, about the index theory of a class perturbed Dirac-type operators on non-compact manifolds equipped with the action of a compact Lie group. We revisit his main theorems by providing a KK-product factorization of this index, and a conceptual explanation of its relationship to the equivariant index of transversally elliptic operators. This is joint work with Y. Loizides and Y. Song.
