Extensions of UHF-algebra by C*-algebras with continuous scale

Abstract:

Let $A$ be a UHF-algebra, $B$ be a non-unital but $\sigma$-unital simple C*-algebra with continuous scale. The concept of continuous scale is introduced by H. Lin. An extension of $A$ by $B$ is determined by its Busby map $\tau: A \longrightarrow M(B)/B$. In this talk, we will give an introduction of C*-algebras with continuous scale, and give some basic results about extensions in this case.
