The Mazur Map and its Applications

Abstract:

The classical Mazur map, first used by S. Mazur in 1929, provides the uniform classification of the unit spheres of the classical $L_p$-spaces. In this talk, we will introduce its extension version on Lebesgue-Bochner $L_p$-spaces and its applications involving Kasparov-Yu's Property H and coarse non-embeddability.
