Noncommutative Poisson boundaries and Cuntz algebra states

Abstract:

In this talk, I'll give an overview about noncommutative Poisson boundaries, focusing on their relationship to dilation theory. In the case of random walks on discrete groups, I'll show how to describe the boundary crossed prducts in terms of Cuntz algebra states.
