Abstract:
Abelian $C^*$-algebras associated with arithmetic functions are studied. Operator algebras, topological dynamics and arithmetic functions are employed to study the maximal ideal spaces of the C*-algebras. An invariant is introduced to study the actions induced by the addition of natural numbers on the $C^*$-algebras. Some open questions will be asked.
