The relative higher index for manifolds with boundary

Abstract:

For a manifold with boundary, we can define the relative higher index for the Dirac operators which lies in the K-theory of relative group C*-algebra associated with the fundamental groups of the manifold and its boundary. I will talk about the the dinfintion and basic properties of relative higher indices.
