The Higher Index Map for Metric Spaces with Proper Group Actions

Abstract:

Given a metric space with proper and isometric group action, one can define an equivariant higher index map. The injectivity or bijectivity of this map has important applications in Topology and Geometry. In this talk, we introduce this equivariant higher index map and show this map is injective or bijective under certain assumptions.
