Compression Tools (MS-DOS or Windows)
Most public domained stuff on the internet are compressed by gunzip, which has a .gz or .tgz (=tar.gz) extension. Unix users should familiar with these files. For MS-DOS users, we provide a MS-DOS version of gunzip (freeware version 1.2.4) here. Shareware Winzip 6.2 under Windows can decompress .gz files as well. GhostScript and GhostView (Windows and Unix)
PostScript files are commonly used in the internet. If you have a PostScript printer, you can send the file to the printer directly. Otherwise, you need GhostScript and GhostView to view and print them. Here are Windows version of GhostScript and GhostView and the complete source code of GhostScript and GhostView for Linux (it is supposed to work on some other Unix platforms, such as HP_UX, SunOS, etc. You can make a try).
