Almost Complex Structures on S^6 and Related Schr\"odinger Flows

Abstract: In this talk, we report our recent result on the G_2 binormal motion of curves in R^7 associated to the almost complex structure on S^6 by using the $G_2$-structure from the octonions O.
Some related problems are also discussed.
