2008 Summer School and
Workshop on Geometric Analysis
There will be a summer school and workshop on geometric analysis held in the Department of Mathematics at East China Normal University during the period July 21 –July 30, 2008.
The summer school plan to consist of 3 series of talks given by active mathematicians working in geometric analysis, including the topics of Kaehler geometry and mean curvature flow for the graduate students from July 21 to July 26. The purpose of the workshop is to disseminate current research developments in geometric analysis and related fields to graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and mathematicians interested in the area. We hope to bring together students and mathematicians working in the areas of geometric analysis in an environment conducive to beginning and continuing research collaborations and dissemination.
The workshop schedule plan to consist of several one hour or so talks per day from July 27 to July 30. Participants are encouraged to engage in informal discussions between and after the lectures. Depending on participant interest, informal talks may on occasion be scheduled later.
