ON GENERALIZED CUNTZ'S ALGEBRA $\mathcal{Q}_S$

Abstract:

Inspired by the Bost-Connes system, Cuntz investigated the C*-algebra $\mathcal{Q}_{\mathbb{N}}$. Given an arbitrary subset $S$ of positive integers excluding one, a C*-algebra $\mathcal{Q}_{S}$ arises. In this presentation we will introduce the connection between this class of C*-algebras and other areas. We review properties of this type of C*-algebras as well.
