A Wiener-type theorem for arcs on the unit circle

Abstract:

Wiener's theorem says that on the unit circle, a measure's value at a point can be expressed via the measure's Fourier coefficients. We prove a theorem which says that a measure's value at an interval can also be expressed in terms of Fourier coefficients. Then give an application of this result which is about computation of local dimension of a measure.
